Criminal Intelligence Unit
Support operations that address prolific offenders and problem locations.

Initiative: Laser Point - Intelligence-Led Policing Effort
On October 2, 2012, the Riley County Police Department began a new patrol deployment called the Laser Point Initiative, a strategy designed to reduce crime and disorder in neighborhoods with traditionally higher crime rates.

Mental Health Co-Responders
The Riley County Police Department in conjunction with Pawnee Mental Health Services created two mental health co-responder positions to provide officers assistance serving citizens in crisis situations.

Operation Accident Reduction Citations (ARC)
In an effort to reduce accidents, the Riley County Police Department is launching "ARC" or "Accident Reduction Citations".

Repeat Offender Program
The Repeat Offender Program (ROP) began in January 2010 with the goal of identifying high-rate offenders who frequently and negatively impact our community.

The Special Investigative Unit (SIU) is responsible for proactive investigations, including narcotics and dangerous drugs, vice, organized crime, and other crimes as necessary.
