Manhattan Man Arrested for First Degree Attempted Murder, Among Other Charges

Jeremy Spaur, 39, of Manhattan, was arrested on February 28, 2024, at approximately 11:51 AM.

Spaur was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for attempted murder in the first degree- intentional and premeditated, attempted aggravated battery- knowingly using a weapon to cause great bodily harm/disfigurement/death, aggravated assault- use of a deadly weapon, and criminal possession of a weapon. These charges stem from an event that transpired on or about February 12, 2022.

Spaur was also charged with a probation violation and failure to appear.  The original charges were for driving on a suspended license, driving without an ignition interlock, tag on the wrong vehicle, and no proof of insurance.

Spaur was issued a total bond of $314,800 and was confined at the time of this report.
