At approximately 1:53 p.m., on Oct. 11, 2025, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, RCPD located a 35-year-old man suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds. Officers immediately rendered first aid until emergency medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported to Stormont Vail in Topeka for serious injuries.
This remains an active investigation. RCPD will release more details as they become available.
