Manhattan, Kan. -
Officers filed a report of Kidnapping, domestic battery, criminal destruction of property, criminal restraint, and intimidation of a witness in Manhattan on March 1, 2025, at approximately 1:28 AM. Due to the nature of this matter, no other information will be released at this time.
James Dailey, 26, of Manhattan, was arrested on February 28, 2025, at approximately 2:52 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Dailey was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear x 2. The original charges in this matter are for domestic batter. Total bond was set at $20,000. Dailey was confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a theft by deception report on March 1, 2025, at approximately 4:58 PM in the 1100 block of Bakers Way. Officers listed a 22-year-old female as the victim when it was reported she had money stolen in an internet scam. Total loss associated with this report is $1,200. Tony Curtis, 62, of Joint Base Lewis McChord, was arrested on March 1, 2025, at approximately 12:36 AM at the corner of Anderson Ave and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Curtis was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated batter- DUI. Total bond was set at $5,000. Curtis was confined at the time of this report.
Richard Breen, 35, of Junction City, was arrested on March 1, 2025, at approximately 11:00 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Breen was arrested on the probable cause offenses of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated burglary, aggravated kidnapping, domestic battery, criminal damage to property, intimidation of a witness or victim, criminal trespass, and criminal restraint. Total bond was set at $175,000. Breen was confined at the time of this report.
Charity Meyer, 21, of Manhattan, was arrested on March 1, 2025, at approximately 11:03 PM in the 500 block of Stone Drive. Meyer was arrested on the probable cause offenses of endangering a child, domestic battery, and criminal damage to property. Total bond was set at $6,000. Meyer was confined at the time of this report.
