Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report of theft in the 500 block of Richards Drive on December 13, 2024 at approximately 10:19 AM.  Officers listed a 30-year-old male as the victim when it was reported agreed to donate $5 to a charitable cause but his card was charged $6,000. Total loss associated with this report is $6,000. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report of an injury accident at the corner of S. Seth Child Road and Farm Bureau Road on December 13, 2024, at approximately 3:00 PM.  Officers reported James Miller, 42, of Manhattan, struck a concrete building in his 2014 GMC Sierra. Miller was transported to Via Christi for treatment of his injuries and was sent to Stormont Vail for more advanced care.

Marcus Grant, 41, of Ogden, was arrested on December 13, 2024, at approximately 8:30 AM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Grant was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated violation of the offender registration act and violation of the offender registration act x 8. Total bond was set at $15,000. Grant was confined at the time of this report.

Lamarques Channel, 41, of Topeka, was arrested on December 13, 2024, at approximately 3:09 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Grant was arrested on probable cause offenses of violation of the offender registration act x 5 and perjury. Total bond was set at $50,000. Channel was confined at the time of this report.

Rashawn Washington, 18, of Junction City, was arrested on December 13, 2024, at approximately 3:36 PM in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza. Washington was arrested on the probable cause offenses of interference with the judicial process and criminal threat. Total bond was set at $25,000. Washington was confined at the time of this report.

Alexander Darnell was arrested on December 13, 2024, at approximately 5:55 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Darnell was arrested on the probable cause offenses of possession of opiate/opium/narcotic/certain stimulant and vehicular burglary x 8. Total bond was set at $32,000. Darnell was confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of aggravated battery and simple battery on December 15, 2024, at approximately 2:02 AM in the 1000 block of Bluemont Ave. Officers report a 23-year-old male's foot was run over by an known subject in a silver Ford F-150. Joseph Hodges, 49, of Manhattan, was arrested on December 14, 2024, at approximately 2:02 PM in the 600 block of Humboldt Street. Hodges was arrested on the probable cause offenses of interference with an LEO and us/possess with the intent to use drug paraphernalia. Total bond was set at $5,000. Hodges was confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of theft in the 400 block of Fifteenth Street in Ogden on December 15, 2024, at approximately 2:23 PM.  Officers listed a 68-year-old male as the victim when it was reported multiple Ryobi tools and batteries were taken from his truck by an unknown subject. Total loss associated with this report is approximately $1,409. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report of rape in Manhattan on December 15, 2024. Due to the nature of this matter, no other information will be released at this time.
