Manhattan, Kan. -
Officers filed a report of aggravated battery on August 15, 2024, at approximately 1:31 PM in the 2100 block of Poyntz Ave. Officers report two males, ages 73 and 41, were battered with a pair of scissors by a juvenile. The victims were treated for their injuries on-site and did not require transport to the hospital. Due to the nature of this matter, no other information will be released at this time.
Officers filed a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian injury accident on August 15, 2024, at approximately 10:07 PM at the intersection of S. Manhattan Ave and Poyntz. Officers report a 23-year-old male was taken via EMS to Via Christi for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Dalton Stover, 27, of Chapman, failed to yield the right of way to the victim who was in a crosswalk. Stover was cited for the same.
Brian Havens, 45, of Manhattan, was arrested on August 15, 2024, at approximately 6:39 PM in the 800 block of Vattier Street. Havens was arrested on a. Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. The original charge in this matter was for possession of methamphetamine. Total bond was set at $6,000. Havens was confined at the time of this report.
Angel Morgan, of Junction City, was arrested on August 15, 2024, at approximately 7:35 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Morgan was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. Total bond was set at $10,000. Morgan was not confined at the time of this report.
