Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report of criminal damage to property in the 2800 block of Nelson's Landing in Manhattan on April 26, 2024, at approximately 7:01 AM. Officers listed a 35-year-old male as the victim when it was reported two vehicles owned by him had been vandalized by an unknown subject.  The total estimated loss in this matter is $2,700. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.


Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft in the 800 block of Thurston Street in Manhattan on April 26, 2024, at approximately 7:08 AM. Officers listed a 23-year-old male as the victim when it was reported his 1996 Dodge Ram, along with its contents, had been stolen by an unknown subject.  The total estimated loss in this matter is $3,150. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.


Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft in the 500 block of Stone Drive in Manhattan on April 27, 2024, at approximately 12:21 AM. Officers listed a 44-year-old female as the victim when it was reported her 2008 Town and Country van had been stolen by a known subject.  The total estimated loss in this matter is $3,000. 


Terron Maples, Jr., 22, of Kansas City, MO, was arrested in the 1000 block of South Seth Child Road on April 26, 2024, at approximately 5:30 PM. Maples Jr. was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation.  The original charge was for theft. Total bond was set at $15,000. Maples Jr. was confined at the time of this report.


Tyler Hodges., 39 of Wamego, was arrested in the 1000 block of South Seth Child Road on April 26, 2024, at approximately 8:10 PM. Hodges was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation.  The original charges were for aggravated battery, violation of a protective order, and domestic battery. Total bond was set at $10,000. Hodges was confined at the time of this report.


Officers filed a report of felony theft in the 100 block of Bluemont Ave on April 27, 2024, at approximately  1:20 PM.  Officers listed Wal-Mart as the victim when it was reported a male and female duo shoplifted approximately $2,700 worth of merchandise via distraction. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.


Courtney Hoyt, 38, of Manhattan was arrested in the 1000 block of Vattier Street, on April 27, 2024, at approximately 8:49 PM.  Hoyt was arrested on probable cause offenses of interference with a LEO, possession of opiate/opium/narcotic/ or certain stimulant, use/possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia into the human body, and possession of hallucinogenic drug. Total bond was set at $10,000. Hoyt was confined at the time of this report.
