Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on December 15, 2023, around 7:23 AM. Officers listed a 19-year-old female as the victim and a known male as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported no additional information will be released. 

Officers filed a report for theft in the 1700 block of Laramie Street in Manhattan on December 16, 2023, around 2:33 PM. Officers listed two 21-year-old males as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect stole 2 Xbox consoles from the victims. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $750. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Howard Horton III, 36, of Manhattan was arrested while in the 100 block of North 4th Street in Manhattan on December 15, 2023, around 12:22 PM. Horton III was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. The original charge was for possession of drug paraphernalia and DV battery. Horton III was issued no bond and was confined at the time of this report. 

Ann Goetz Jensen, 34, of Topeka, was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on December 17, 2023, around 3:50 AM. Jensen was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for forgery (x3), failure to appear, and theft by deception. Jensen was issued a total bond of $5,500 and was confined at the time of this report.
