Officers filed a report for theft by deception in the 400 block of Poyntz Avenue in Manhattan on October 24, 2023, around 1:52 PM. Officers listed G Thomas Jewelers as the victim when it was reported a known male suspect paid with a check from a canceled account. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,047.84.
Officers filed a report for motor vehicle theft in the 1100 block of Bluemont Avenue in Manhattan on October 24, 2023 around 9:04 PM Officers listed a 38-year-old male as the victim when he reported an unknown suspect took his black Kia Forte with a black Glock 19 and two magazines inside. Officers filed a report for aggravated assault and criminal damage to property in the 500 block of Sunset Avenue in Manhattan on October 25, 2023, around 1:09 AM. Officers listed one 18-year-old male and one 19-year-old male as the victims of aggravated assault and one 18-year-old male as the victim of criminal damage to property. It was reported an unknown suspect egged vehicles and shot paintballs at fraternity members. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Trenton Bunnell, 19, of Kansas City was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on October 24, 2023, around 2:46 PM on a Riley County District Court warrant for rape. The original charge was reported in July 2022. Bunnell was issued a total bond of $75,000 and was confined at the time of this report.
Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of Tuttle Creek Boulevard and Seth Child on October 25, 2023, around 6:55 AM. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2-vehicle injury crash. One person was transported to Via Christi for treatment of their injuries. The area was closed for a short amount of time but has since reopened.
