Manhattan, Kan. -

Curtis Simms Jr, 24, of Manhattan was arrested on September 21, 2023, on a Riley County District Court warrant and a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant. The total bond of these two warrants was $50,750. Simms remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for aggravated domestic battery and criminal damage to property in Manhattan on September 22, 2023, at around 2:30 a.m. A 28-year-old woman was listed as the victim, and Noah Briones, 23, of Manhattan, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, and criminal damage to property. It was reported that Briones battered the victim, impeded her breathing, and damaged a door, a phone, and other property.  The loss amount was estimated at around $500. His bond was set at $10,000 and he remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
