Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report for theft in the 600 block of Pottawatomie Ave. in Manhattan on August 22, 2023, at approximately 7:45 a.m. BHS Construction was listed as the victim when it was reported two of their trucks' catalytic converters were cut off and stolen. The estimated total loss associated with this case is unknown at this time. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Anthony Moss, 56, of Manhattan was arrested on August 22, 2023, at approximately 8:00 a.m. on two Riley County District Court warrants for probation violation. These warrants stem from original charges of possession of meth, forgery and worthless check, and distribution or possession of meth with intent to distribute. Moss remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $15,000.

David Huffman, 41, of Ogden was arrested on August 22, 2023, at approximately 1:30 p.m. by the Kansas Highway Patrol on three Franklin County District Court warrants for theft, criminal damage to property, and making false information. Huffman was issued a total bond of $35,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Erick Chavez, 27, of Manhattan was arrested on August 22, 2023, at approximately 2:30 p.m. on two Riley County District Court warrants for failure to appear. Chavez remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $10,000.

Misty Pankratz, 37, and John McKellips, 38, both of Manhattan were arrested on August 22, 2023, in connection to an August 21, 2023, theft of a catalytic converter from a Carpet One van in the 500 block of Fort Riley Blvd. in Manhattan. Both were charged with theft and criminal damage to property. Pankratz was issued a total bond of $2,000, and McKellips a total bond of $3,000. Both remain confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Ammanuel Simpson, 21 was arrested on August 22, 2023, at approximately 4:15 p.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This warrant stems from an original charge of criminal threat. Simpson remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $5,000.

Officers filed a report for lewd and lascivious behavior in the 100 block of Bluemont Ave. in Manhattan at approximately 4:30 p.m. It was reported an unknown male exposed himself inside Walmart. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
