Manhattan, Kan. -
Officers filed a report of aggravated battery, aggravated endangering a child and criminal damage to property in the 3000 block of James Ave, at approximately 8:08 p.m. on April 28, 2025. A 17-year-old female was listed as a victim when it was reported that her 21-year-old brother armed himself with a knife and recklessly stabbed her in the leg. The injury sustained by the 17-year-old listed victim was non-life-threatening. A 39-year-old female was listed as a second victim in the incident, along with a door that was damaged. Olsen Talalele Jr, 21, of Manhattan, was arrested on April 28, 2025, at approximately 8:08 p.m. in the 3000 block of James Ave. for aggravated battery, aggravated endangering a child and criminal damage to property. Talalele Jr. was issued a total bond of 10,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
Cassandra Kinish, 32, of Manhattan, was arrested on April 28, 2025, at approximately 9:15 a.m. at 1001 S. Seth Child, for a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. Kinish is still confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $1000.
Chavez Wilson, 23, of Topeka, KS, was arrested on April 26, 2025, at approximately 3:47 p.m. in Overland Park, KS, for a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This warrant stems from the original charges of operating a motor vehicle with no driver's license and transporting an open container of alcohol. Wilson was issued a total bond of $530 cash and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
Zachary Evans, 33, of Kansas City, KS, was arrested on March 9, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m. in Kansas City, KS, for a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. This warrant stems from the original charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while the license is suspended. Evans was issued a total bond of $2000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
