Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report of an injury accident at the corner of Leavenworth Street and N. 4th Street on January 16, 2025, at approximately 6:47 PM.  Officers report Lonny Scott, 50, of Manhattan, was crossing the street in his wheelchair when it struck ice and tipped over. Antonio Casillas-Ventura, 24, of Fort Riley, was approaching the intersection at the same time and subsequently collided with Scott. Scott was transported to Via Christi by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. 

Tanasha Dupree, 32 of Manhattan, was arrested on January 17, 2025, at approximately 3:52 PM in the 2500 block of Candle Crest Circle. Dupree was arrested on the probable cause offenses of aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, battery, interference with an LEO, endangering a child, and battery on an LEO. Total bond was set $20,000. Dupree was confined at the time of this report.

Jeffrey Junkermeier, 59, of Wichita, was arrested on January 16, 2025, at approximately 5:50 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Junkermeier was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for violation of a protection order x 5 and criminal threat x 2. Total bond was set at $25,000. Junkermeier was confined at the time of this report.
