Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report of attempted burglary, criminal destruction of property, and theft in the 1100 block of Kretschmer Drive on November 11, 2024.  Officers listed BHS Construction and Lottman Carpenter Construction as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect stole two security cameras and attempted entry into two conex trailers. Total estimated loss associated with this report is $1,900. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Officers responded to an injury accident at the corner of Tuttle Creek Blvd. and E. Poyntz Ave. on November 11, 2024, at approximately 5:51 PM.  Officers report Jay Oaks, 23, of Manhattan, failed to yield the right of way and struck a BMW 5 Series driven by Khristina Davies, 40 of Alta Vista and a Dodge Journey driven by Lindsy Rebegilia, 39, of Manhattan. Rebegilia was transported to Via Christi by EMS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  Oaks was cited for failure to yield.
