Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft in the 400 block of Manhattan Ave. on October 18, 2024, at approximately 2:59 PM.  Officers listed a 28-year-old male as the victim when it was reported his 2017 Suzuski motorcycle was stolen by an unknown subject in the overnight hours. Total estimated loss associated with this report is $6,500. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Brian Havens, 45, of Manhattan, was arrested on October 18, 2024, at approximately 7:54 PM in the 200 block of Leavenworth St.  Havens was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear.  The original charges in this matter were for possession of methamphetamines.  Total bond was set at $12,000. Havens was confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of an injury accident in the 900 block of N. 10th Street on October 20, 2024, at approximately 9:12 PM.  Officers report a 28-year-old male pedestrian was struck while crossing the street by a white pick-up driven by an unknown female. The pedestrian, Renson Remigio Hernandez Figureoua, was transported by EMS to Via Christi for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
