Manhattan, Kan. -
Officers filed a report of theft in the 500 block of Stone Drive on September 9, 2024, at approximately 9:47 AM. Officers listed 53-year-old female as the victim when it was reported her IRS Tax return check had been cashed by an unknown subject without her permission. Total loss associated with this report is $1,016. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Kelli Gill, 35, of Wichita, was arrested on September 9, 2024, at approximately 12:20 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Gill was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. The original charges are for theft x 8 and driving while suspended. Total bond is set at $10,000. Gill was not confined at the time of this report.
Michelle Vassar, 43, of Manhattan, was arrested on September 9, 2024, at 7:28 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Vassar was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. The original charge in this matter was for possession of opiate/opium/narcotic/ or certain stimulant. Total bond was set at $10,000. Vassar was confined at the time of this report.
Rodney Roberts, 57, of Atlanta, Georgia, was arrested on September 10, 2024, at approximately 1:30 AM. Roberts was arrested on a Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear x 2 and probation violation. The original charges in this matter were for possession of marijuana and driving while suspended. Total bond was set at $6,250. Roberts was confined at the time of this report.
