Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report of criminal damage to property in the 2100 block of Poyntz Ave on May 8, 2024, at approximately 12:29 PM.  Officers listed Manhattan High School as the victim when it was reported a known subject threw a rock through a window of the school in the overnight hours breaking the window. Estimated total loss is approximately $1,000.


Officers filed a report of a non-injury accident resulting in damage to a local business in the 3200 block of Kimball Ave. on May 8, 2024, at approximately 8:32 PM.  Officers listed Candlewood Liquor as the victim when it was reported a gray Infinity driven by Winfried Butler struck the establishment. The total estimated loss in this matter is over $1,000. Butler was cited for driving under the influence. 


Pamela Hall, 19, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza on May 8, 2024, at approximately 3:22 PM.  Hall was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for battery, criminal trespass, aggravated intimidation of a witness, criminal threat x2, and battery. Total bond was set at $5,000. Hall was not confined at the time of this report.


Garrett Silva, 27, of Berthoud, Colorado, was arrested on May 8, 2024, at approximately 4:15 PM in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza.  Silva was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for theft by deception less than $1.500 x2, probation violation, computer unlawful acts/ false representation with damage < $100,000 x 7, and theft by deception $1,500 or less from three businesses in 72 hours. Total bond was set at $17,500. Silva was confined at the time of this report.
