Officers filed a report of theft by deception in the 300 block of 3rd Place in Manhattan on April 5, 2024, at approximately 10:26 AM. Officers listed Hy-Vee as the victim when it was reported a store lead was deceived into sending Bitcoin to an unknown person fraudulently posing as the store manager. Total loss associated with this report is $1,440. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report of aggravated assault and criminal damage to property on April April 5, 2024, at approximately 10:59 AM in the 100 block of Bluemont Ave. Officers listed a 43-year-old female and an 18-year-old male as the victims when the male victim reported an individual in a group of juveniles known to him brandished a knife so he went into Wal-Mart to get away from the situation but when he returned to his vehicle two of his tires were slashed. Total loss associated with this report is estimated at $300.
Auston Korszeniewski, 26, of Manhattan was arrested in the 1000 block of South Seth Child Road on April 5, 2024, at approximately 12:58 PM. Korszeniewski was arrested on the probable cause offense of criminal threat. Total bond for this charge was set at $8,000. Korszeniewski was confined at the time of this report.
