Manhattan, Kan. -
Officers filed a report of forgery, making false information, and theft by deception in the 200 block of S. Seth Child Road on March 29, 2024, at approximately 10:06 AM. Officers listed Community First National Bank, First National Bank, and Bayer Construction as the victims when it was reported a 56-year-old male from Tokeka fraudulently cashed checks and/or paid for services with fraudulent checks. Total loss associated with this report is $10,099.78.
Officers filed a report of aggravated assault in the 2100 block of Poyntz Ave. on March 29, 2024, at approximately 10:16 AM. Officers listed a 16-year-old male as the victim when it was reported a female known to him threatened him with a knife during an argument, which happened the month prior.
Officers responded to the report of an injury accident in the 400 block of Colorado Street in Manhattan on March 29, 2024, at approximately 11:30 AM. When officers arrived on the scene they found a vehicle was involved in the accident with a bicycle; a 2007 Pontiac G5 driven by Ida Ditto, 72, of Manhattan struck Mike Boston, 63, also of Manhattan, who was on his bicycle. Boston was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Ditto was cited for no proof of insurance.
Jamichael Strahan, 22, of Junction City, was arrested on March 29, 2024, at approximately 2:05 PM in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza. Strahan was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. The original charge is for aggravated indecent solicitation. Strahan's bond was set at $8,000 and he was not confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report of aggravated assault in the 1300 block of Flint Hills Place on March 30, 2024, at approximately 12:46 PM. Officers listed a 31-year-old male as the victim when it was reported a male known to him attacked him with a club.
Officers filed a report of rape in Manhattan on March 30, 2024, at approximately 9:32 PM. Officers listed a 20-year-old female as the victim and a 23-year-old male known to her as the suspect. Due to the nature of this crime, no further information will be released.
TJ Grant, 35, of Ogden was arrested on March 31, 2024, at approximately 12:07 AM in the 200 block of 7th Street in Ogden on probable cause offenses of domestic battery; knowing or reckless bodily harm to family/person in a dating relationship and interference with an LEO. Grant was issued a total bond of $8,000 and was confined at the time of this report.
Michael Adams, 32, of Manhattan was arrested on March 31, 2024, at approximately 1:40 AM in the 00 block of Powerline Place on probable cause offense of domestic battery; knowing or reckless bodily harm to family/person in a dating relationship. Adams was issued a total bond of $6,000 and was confined at the time of this report.
Elsbeth Karl, 29, of Manhattan was arrested on March 31, 2024, at approximately 1:40 AM in the 00 block of Powerline Place on probable cause offense of domestic battery; knowing or reckless bodily harm to family/person in a dating relationship. Karl was issued a total bond of $6,000 and was confined at the time of this report.
Stephanie Taylor, 41, of Manhattan was arrested on March 31, 2024, at approximately 12:32 PM in the 3000 block of Claflin Road on probable cause offenses of criminal damage to property, use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia, and possession of opiate. Adams was issued a total bond of $5,000 and was confined at the time of this report.
