Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report for theft and interference with a law enforcement officer in the 100 block of Bluemont Ave on March 1, 2024, at approximately 6:11 PM. Officers listed Wal-Mart as the victim when five suspects together collectively attempted to shoplift $1,458.06 worth of merchandise. Arrested on probable cause offenses regarding the same, specifically theft of property or services- shoplifting and interference with a law enforcement officer, were Christine Maynard, 19, of Manhattan, Danika Chatfield, 18, of Manhattan, Amaiya Washington, 19, of Manhattan, Makayla Hall, 21, of Manhattan, and Akhasha Hill, 18, of Kansas City. All were issued a total bond of $1,500.

Henry Morgan, 45, of Manhattan, was arrested while in the 200 block of N. 9th St. on March 1, 2024, at approximately 7:05 PM.  Morgan was arrested on the probable cause offense of aggravated battery- knowingly using physical contact in a rude or angry manner with a weapon. Morgan’s total bond was set at $100,000.  He was confined at the time of this report.

 Officers filed a report for aggravated battery in the 900 block of Bertrand Street on March 2, 2024, at approximately 7:34 PM. Officers listed a 20-year-old male as the victim when it was reported he was struck in the face with a glass bottle by an unknown male suspect.  Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers.  Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Angela Tolliver, 40, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 1100 block of Moro Street on March 3, 2024, at approximately 1:45 AM.  Tolliver was arrested on the probable cause offense of aggravated battery- knowingly using physical contact in a rude or angry manner with a weapon. Tolliver’s total bond was set at $10,000.  She was confined at the time of this report. 

Jamia Harper, 21, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 1100 block of Moro Street on March 3, 2024, at approximately 2:35 AM.  Harper was arrested on the probable cause offenses of battery on a law enforcement officer x 2, disorderly conduct, and interference with a law enforcement officer. Harper’s total bond was set at $6,000.  He was confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of theft and counterfeit currency in the 800 block of Commons Place on March 3, 2024, at approximately 3:49 PM.  Officers listed Target as the victim when it was reported counterfeit currency was used to purchase approximately $700 worth of merchandise.
