Manhattan, Kan. -
Officers filed a report for burglary in the 1100 block of Westport Drive in Manhattan on October 31, 2023, around 8:54 AM. Officers listed Willie’s Car Wash as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect broke into the car wash, took money, and damaged machines/other property. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $17,938. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for sexual battery and criminal restraint in Manhattan on October 31, 2023. Officers listed a 20-year-old female as the victim and a known male as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported no additional information will be released.
Shawn Samuelson, 23, of Westmoreland was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on October 31, 2023, around 4:02 PM. Samuelson was arrested on a Pottawatomie County District Court warrant for distribution of a controlled substance. Samuelson was issued a total bond of $25,000 and was confined at the time of this report.
