DUI

Driving Under the Influence (DUI) is defined as anyone under the influence of either drugs or alcohol with a blood alcohol content of.08 or higher operating a motor vehicle. If you are under the age of 21 it is illegal to be under the influence of any amount of drugs or alcohol, especially when operating a motor vehicle and will result in a citation.

A first-time conviction is punishable by a fine of $750 - $1000, up to 6 months in jail, 100 hours of community service and $98 court fees. A second-time conviction is punishable by a fine up to $1750 and up to a year in jail time.

If you are under the age of 21, additional citations and fines could apply.
