A Manhattan man has been arrested by the Topeka Police Department in connection to the murder of a 27-year-old female in Manhattan early this morning.
On Saturday, September 25, 2021, shortly before 6:00 a.m., officers responded to report of a man who had possibly murdered a female family member in the 400 block of S. 12th St. and left the scene. Shanell Bobian, 27, of Manhattan was later found deceased by officers at another location. Due to the ongoing investigation, the location will be released at this time.

Skyler James Barry, 35, of Manhattan was arrested Thursday afternoon on a warrant in connection to sex crimes reported to have occurred in Manhattan in December 2020 and February 2021.
On May 28, 2021, officers filed a report for rape, aggravated indecent liberties with a child and criminal sodomy. Officers arrested Barry in connection for aggravated criminal sodomy, and two counts rape and aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
Barry is confined in the Riley County Jail on a total bond of $250,000.

Sabian Fyre Adams, 20, of Junction City was arrested Friday morning on a warrant in connection to a rape and sexual battery reported to have occurred in Manhattan in February 2021.
On February 22, 2021, officers filed a report for rape, attempted rape, aggravated sexual battery and sexual battery. Adams was arrested in connection on those same four charges.
Adams is confined in the Riley County Jail on a total bond of $150,000.
Due to the nature of this crime, no additional information will be released.

A man and woman have been arrested on a warrant in connection to multiple sex crimes reported to have occurred in Manhattan in August 2021.
On August 8, 2021, officers filed a report for rape, aggravated indecent liberties with a child, indecent solicitation of a child, criminal threat and providing alcohol to minors.
