An Ogden man has been arrested in connection to a series of rapes reported to have occurred in Ogden from August 2020 to February 2021.

On March 5, 2021, officers filed a report for rape and aggravated indecent solicitation of a child under 14 years of age, listing now 13- and 15-year-old females as the victims and a now 18-year-old male as the suspect. Phillip Daniel Smith, 18, of Ogden was arrested yesterday in connection on one count of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child under 14 years of age and two counts of rape.

Smith is confined in the Riley County Jail on a total bond of $500,000.00.

This investigation is ongoing. Due to the nature of this crime, no additional information will be released.
