For continued protection of the inmates in our care and our corrections staff, routine in-person jail visitation is suspended until further notice as a precaution due to COVID-19.

Free video visitation will continue to be available in the lobby of the Riley County Police Department from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Staff will be routinely disinfecting the lobby area. Visitors are required to wear a face covering.

On Friday, Nov. 20, through Sunday, Nov. 29, the Riley County Police Department will join local and state police agencies across Kansas in the Thanksgiving Safe Arrival traffic enforcement campaign. A grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will support overtime enforcement efforts to aggressively target and remove impaired drivers from our roads.

As the upcoming school break approaches, we want to remind students that areas of high-density student housing are often targeted by criminals during breaks in the academic calendar because a majority of residents are out of town.
