MANHATTAN, KAN. –  On Monday, May 13, 2019, the Riley County Police Department raised the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action flag at its law enforcement center in honor of all American prisoners of war and to pay tribute to those who never returned from the battlefield to their families.

“I hope the POW/MIA flag flying in front of the Law Enforcement Center will provide our citizens and employees with a daily reminder of the incredible sacrifice made by members of our military," Director Dennis Butler said.

On Friday, May 3, 2019, the Riley County Police Department will conduct a DUI Saturation Patrol. Officers involved in the Saturation Patrol will be looking for signs of impaired driving and other traffic violations. Motorists who show signs of alcohol and/or drug consumption will be evaluated. Confirmed impaired drivers will be arrested.
