Drug take-back a success ◊

  

MANHATTAN, KAN. – On Saturday, October 28, 2017 the Riley County Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration hosted a drug take-back event at two locations in Manhattan, Kansas.  

 

The take-back event was a huge success at both locations. In just four hours, approximately 167 pounds of medications were collected.

MANHATTAN, KAN. – On October 15, 2017 at approximately 1:36 a.m., the Riley County Police Department received a 911 call from a citizen reporting shots being fired near 519 North Manhattan Avenue in Manhattan.

Information skimming devices were recently found on gas pumps at a gas station in Odgen, Kansas. 

The Skimmers were found in the 400 block of Riley Avenue on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017. 

Officers received a report of fraudent activity on a citizen's financial card. An officer who responded was able to locate two skimming devices on the pumps. 

You'll want to keep an eye on your bank account if you use your cards to pay for fuel.

There have been over 100 burglaries in Riley County in August and September.
