MANHATTAN, KAN. – From February 29, 2016 to March 13, 2016 Law Enforcement agencies across Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma participated in a traffic safety operation to reduce teen driver related fatal collisions. In 2015, 13 teens lost their lives due to car crashes in Kansas; 40% of those teens were not properly restrained.

MANHATTAN, KAN. – During the 2016 celebration of “Fake Patty’s Day” the Riley County Police Department with assistance from the Junction City Police Department, Emporia Police Department, Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Hays Police Department, Geary County Sheriff's Office, Kansas State University Police Department, Kansas Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism, and the Kansas Highway Patrol as well as others responded to a significant number of calls for service generated by both police officers and community members.

MANHATTAN, KAN. – On March 5, 2016 at approximately 5:20 PM, officers with the Riley County Police Department along with emergency medical professionals with Riley County EMS were dispatched to the 1800 block of Leavenworth Street in Manhattan for a report of a fall which led to serious injury.
