MANHATTAN, KAN. – On Saturday September 12, 2015 the Riley County Police Department along with the Kansas Highway Patrol will conduct a sobriety checkpoint.  The checkpoint is designed to identify impaired drivers and remove them from the roadway.  Motorists who show signs of alcohol and/or drug consumption will be evaluated and appropriate enforcement action will be taken. 

The Kansas Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Project provides the funding for the Check Lane.
